Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand) [India], October 13 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday reiterated that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented soon and the law is not meant to harass anyone.
Addressing the Civil Felicitation Ceremony organized at Indira Gandhi Sports Ground in the Kichha area of Udham Singh Nagar district, CM Dhami said, “The Uniform Civil Code law will be implemented soon. This law is not meant to harass anyone. The people of Devbhoomi gave their blessings in the form of votes for this law in the 2022 assembly elections.”
He highlighted further that an international level airport is going to be built in Pantnagar.
“We have transferred 850 acres of land to the Government of India to build this airport,” he added.
CM Pushkar Dhami also conducted a site inspection of the under-construction AIIMS in Kichha area of Udham Singh Nagar district in the state on Sunday.
He said, “There was a long-standing demand for AIIMS in this entire area and it was also needed here, we requested the Prime Minister and he took our demand seriously and AIIMS was approved here. The work is going on very fast. I thank Prime Minister Modi for this.”
The Uttarakhand CM further said that the state government is moving ahead with the basic mantra of resolution without any alternative and is working to make such a developed Uttarakhand that it becomes the best state in the whole of India.
“Last year we organized the Global Investors Summit. The investments made in it are now starting to materialize. We are moving ahead with a balance between ecology and economy. It is my resolve that our brothers, sisters and daughters of the state get employment within the state itself and they do not have to go out,” he said.
He further expressed gratitude to former Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee and said, “I salute late Atal Bihari Vajpayee because it was under his leadership that State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (SIDCUL) was established in Udham Singh Nagar, Haridwar and Dehradun. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the vehicle of development of the state is now picking up speed.”
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, further emphasized that the government is going to make a land law soon. (ANI)
