“Social harmony necessary to stop ill effects of social media”: Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel – World News Network

Surat (Gujarat) [India], December 22 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday expressed concern over inappropriate content spreading through social media and said that social harmony is necessary to stop the ill effects of social media.
He added that the ill effect of social media is not limited to people of any age or society, everyone needs to avoid it and be careful.
Addressing the Gujarat Cultural Warrior Award program in Surat, CM Patel said, “The way filth has spread in society cannot be stopped at once but it is our responsibility to remain active and keep trying. We will have to reduce the number of people doing wrong things. Social harmony is necessary to stop the ill effects of social media. This ill effect of social media is not limited to people of any age or society, everyone needs to avoid it and be careful.”
Chief Minister Patel also called upon people to take responsibility to create awareness and take continuous action to curb negative impact of explicit and inappropriate content spreading through social media.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also urged the youth to adopt cultural and social values. He stressed the importance of organizing social and cultural events as these guide the youth.
The Chief Minister also mentioned some of the transformative initiatives undertaken by Prime Minister Modi, including the introduction of the New Education Policy, which focuses not only on education but on value-based learning.
Chief Minister Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fulfil the resolution of a developed India by 2047. But with this, it is the responsibility of all of us to take the society towards a developed India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the country to such a height from where the whole world is looking towards India. (ANI)
