Washington, DC [US], March 26 (ANI): US President Donald Trump has reaffirmed that American national security remains at its strongest, emphasising recent military actions against the Houthis in Yemen.
“Our National Security is stronger than it has ever been. We have had very successful and numerous attacks on that area (Yemen),” Trump said in an interview at the White House, highlighting the effectiveness of the strikes.
He described the Houthis as a serious threat, stating, “These are the people that shoot down ships right out of the water. They also happen to be shooting anything that is flying through the area.”
He pointed to the deteriorating state of the Houthi forces, asserting, “The Houthis are on the run; the worst ones have been killed.” Expressing frustration that these actions were not taken sooner, he added, “This should have been done a long time ago.” He further described the Houthis’ tactics, stating, “They randomly shoot missiles on ships, and they make their own missiles.”
Trump also dismissed concerns over potential leaks of classified information, explaining, “There was no classified information, as I understand. They used an app that a lot of people in the government and the media use.”
In a direct attack on The Atlantic, Trump dismissed its credibility, declaring, “The Atlantic is a failed magazine and nobody gives a damn about it.” He also voiced support for NSA Mike Waltz, stating, “He is a very good man and he will continue to do a good job.”
NSA Mike Waltz echoed Trump’s criticism of media misinformation, saying, “There are a lot of journalists in the city who have made big names for themselves, making up lies about this President.”
He confirmed that officials were investigating how a particular journalist was able to enter the room. Speaking on broader security efforts, he credited Trump’s leadership, stating, “The world owes President Trump a favour. Under Biden, global shipping was shut down.”
He also emphasised the administration’s coordinated efforts, noting, “We have a National Security team that was coordinating these efforts.” (ANI)
