Rohtak (Haryana) [India], September 11 (ANI): Haryana Leader of Opposition and Congress candidate Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday filed his nominations from the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi assembly constituency and said that the people of Haryana have made up their minds to form a Congress government in the state.
“People and 36 fraternities of Haryana have made up their minds to form a Congress government. BJP jaa rahi hai, Congress aa rahi hai (BJP is going out of the power in Haryana and Congress is going to form the government),” Hooda told reporters after filing the nominations.
Former CM Hooda also performed havan at his residence in Rohtak before filing his nomination.
Speaking to reporters Rohtak MP and Bhupinder Hooda’s son Deepinder Hooda said that the Congress would form a majority government under Bhupinder Hooda.
“Congress will form the government with a majority under the leadership of Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The mood in Haryana is in the favour of Congress. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that all 90 nominations will be completed by tomorrow and the BJP is going to form the government for the third time in Haryana.
“Tomorrow September 12 and is the last day of filing nomination. BJP candidate from Gharaunda Assembly Constituency Harvinder Kalyanhas filed his nomination today… All 90 nominations will be completed by tomorrow… Our government will form a hattrick this time… Congress is already looking for an alliance but everyone is pulling themselves back,” Khattar said.
Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
