Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 8 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates have won elections in four assembly constituencies of Haryana, where Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav campaigned during the recently concluded assembly polls.
CM Yadav addressed public gatherings in the constituencies of Dadri, Bhiwani, Tosham, and Bawani Khera. He campaigned in Bhiwani and Tosham on October 3, and in Dadri and Bawani Khera on September 26.
BJP candidate Sunil Satpal Sangwan won from the Dadri constituency by a margin of 1,957 votes. Similarly, Ghanshyam Saraf secured victory in Bhiwani with a margin of 32,714 votes, Shruti Choudhary won Tosham with a margin of 14,257 votes, and Kapoor Singh triumphed in Bawani Khera by 21,779 votes.
In addition, CM Yadav campaigned for BJP candidate Surjeet Singh Slathia in the Samba constituency of Jammu and Kashmir on September 22, where Slathia also won, with a margin of 30,309 votes.
According to the latest data from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the BJP won 48 out of the 90 assembly seats, while Congress secured 36 seats and is leading in 1 seat. Three independent candidates won seats, and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) secured two seats.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) emerged as the largest party with 42 seats, followed by the BJP with 29 seats and Congress with 6 seats.
Meanwhile, CM Yadav extended his congratulations to the people of Haryana and BJP workers for securing a hat-trick of victories in the Haryana assembly elections.
“Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the voters and BJP workers who have played a unique role in forming a double-engine government once again, by giving the BJP a historic hat-trick victory in the Haryana assembly elections. The public, having witnessed the exceptional work in service, security, good governance, and farmer welfare during the 10 years of the double-engine BJP government, have once again created a new record by placing their wholehearted trust in the BJP,” CM Yadav posted on X.
“This overwhelming majority reflects the immense public faith in the welfare policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the decisions taken by him in the national interest, and the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini,” he added. (ANI)
