Gurdaspur (Punjab) [India], October 25 (ANI): Punjab Police Anti-Narcotics Task Force along with Gurdaspur police made preventive detention under the PITS-NDPS Act of top smuggler Avtar Singh alias Tari from the border district of Punjab’s Gurdaspur, said officials.
Tari has been detained under the PIT-NDPS Act for two years and sent to Central Jail Bathinda, said officials.

On October 24, Fazilka police, swiftly working on backward and forward linkages, have exposed a network involved in possessing and selling illegal weapons, arresting the main accused, Manpreet Singh. The police have arrested total four accused and recovered three country-made pistols, three magazines, and ten live rounds.
