Mumbai/ Dongri (Maharashtra) [India], October 14: The International Youth Development Foundation (IYDF) and A.B Shaikh Bakery came together to host a heartwarming event at the Quvathul Islam Arabic College in Mumbai, bringing much-needed care and support to the children of a local orphanage. Organised by Tabrez Shaikh, the event was supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, including Rumana Shaikh, Sarfaraz Shaikh, and Minhaz Bharooti. The evening was filled with thoughtful donations, poetry recitations, and interactive activities, providing the children with a memorable and joyful experience.
IYDF and A.B Shaikh Bakery Unite for a Cause
This meaningful event, held in the Dongri area of Mumbai, took place at the Quvathul Islam Arabic College and began at 6:00 PM. A.B Shaikh Bakery generously supplied the event with essential materials, including children’s books and various sports equipment like basketballs, table tennis sets, footballs, and carrom boards. The volunteers also prepared small gifts and toffees for the 50 participating children, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.
Event organiser Tabrez Shaikh shared his reflections on the day, noting that this was his first time actively engaging with the children. Previously, he had supported them primarily through material donations, but this experience allowed him to connect with them on a deeper level. “Though I’ve been helping these children for some time, today’s event with IYDF was unforgettable. I wasn’t just handing over gifts–I was listening to their thoughts, and seeing the joy on their faces when they received the gifts is something I will cherish for a long time,” he said.
Heartfelt Interactions: Poetry Recitations and Volunteer Engagement
To showcase the children’s talents, the event featured a poetry recitation session where the children expressed their love for life and hope for the future through heartfelt verses. Volunteers also took part by delivering motivational speeches, sharing their personal stories, and offering words of encouragement. One volunteer commented, “Today, I saw just how much these children long for knowledge and companionship. What we brought here was more than just material support–it was a connection between hearts. I believe this type of event can truly touch the lives of these children, reminding them they are not alone. Their smiles have filled us with immense satisfaction, and we are more than happy to bring joy and hope into their lives.”

Spreading Hope: IYDF’s Commitment to Youth and Children
The International Youth Development Foundation (IYDF) is dedicated to improving the lives of youth and children around the world. This collaboration with A.B Shaikh Bakery highlights IYDF’s mission to “change lives through meaningful action.” A.B Shaikh Bakery, a well-known company in Mumbai, has consistently supported social welfare initiatives, and this event reflects their ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Through events like these, IYDF aims not only to provide tangible support but also to inspire participants by demonstrating the long-lasting impact of their assistance. Looking ahead, IYDF plans to continue partnering with local businesses, schools, and volunteer teams to bring warmth and care to more children in need, ensuring they grow up in environments filled with love and opportunity.
A Bright Future: Ongoing Collaboration and Endless Care
The event was met with positive feedback from the local community, with many parents and residents expressing their gratitude for IYDF and A.B Shaikh Bakery’s efforts. Mohammed Asim, the head of the Quvathul Islam Arabic College, shared his appreciation: “This event gave the children a rare opportunity for interaction, which is so important for their development. It also allowed them to feel the care and support of the community.”
In his closing remarks, Tabrez Shaikh highlighted the significance of the partnership between IYDF and A.B Shaikh Bakery and expressed his desire to continue collaborating in the future. “Today’s event gave me a deeper understanding of the children’s needs and their inner worlds. We must offer not only material assistance but emotional and mental support as well. IYDF gave me the chance to do this, and I hope this partnership can continue long into the future, bringing even more hope to these children.”
The event ended on a heartwarming note, filled with smiles and laughter. The joint effort of IYDF and A.B Shaikh Bakery lit up the lives of the children, ensuring they grow up in an environment full of care and support. IYDF will continue to extend its support to youth and children, acting as a guiding light and helping them build a brighter, more hopeful future.
