Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], September 12 (ANI): As Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel completes three years of governance in Gujarat, the state achieved many achievements in various fields under his leadership with significant strides in empowering women and uplifting their status in society.
Patel took over as Chief Minister on September 13, 2021. In these three years, the Chief Minister has continuously taken forward the development journey of Gujarat started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Under his leadership, both the G20 meetings in Gujarat and the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit have been successfully concluded. Presently, the state is also moving towards becoming the semiconductor hub and renewable energy hub of the country.
The Gujarat government led by the Chief Minister is working with commitment to realize the vision of ‘Developed India@2047’ given by the Prime Minister with the goal of ‘Developed Gujarat to Developed India’.
Chief Minister Matrushakti Yojana was started to provide nutritious food to pregnant women and lactate mothers during the period of 270 days before delivery and 730 days from the birth of the child to 2 years after the woman conceives, i.e. a total of 1000 days. More than 5 lakh pregnant women and lactating mothers have benefited from this scheme.
Nari Gaurav Policy-2024 was announced for women’s empowerment.
The scope of the Poshan Sudha Yojana, implemented to provide complete nutritious food to pregnant women and lactating mothers for one meal, was expanded and this scheme, which was implemented as an experiment in five tribal districts of Gujarat, has now been implemented in a total of 106 tehsils of all 14 tribal districts of the state.
For the first time in the year 2023, the gender budget crossed Rs 1 lakh crore, and more than 200 schemes were made only women-centric, in the year 2024-25, a total of 804 schemes for women empowerment have been included in the gender budget and Rs 1 lakh 24 thousand 310 crores have been allocated for this.
PM Modi, who is constantly striving for the empowerment of women, has implemented the ‘Namo Drone Didi Yojana’ in 2023 to advance women economically with the use of drones. Under this scheme, women in Gujarat are being trained to spray fertilisers and pesticides through drones using new technology in farming. (ANI)
