Meanwhile, in the wake of torrential rainfall, flood victims were moved to the government relief camps in Agartala on Saturday to ensure they got the necessary facilities and be safe from the disaster.
The rescue teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), in a Friday evening operation, evacuated 125 people, from various flood-affected parts of Tripura.
Meanwhile, speaking to ANI, a flood victim, staying at camp, Aruna Sarkar said, “My father’s house is here at Jayanagar. I have come to this relief camp this morning but my family members have been here for a couple of days and they said everything is fine over here. Right from the food for infants, water and all the other things are there in nice arrangement. The government has done nice work,” said Sarkar.
As per the report, a total of 558 relief camps have been set up by the district administration since August 19. (ANI)
