New Delhi [India], August 11 (ANI): Family members and others mourn the demise of former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh. His last rites are to be performed at Lodhi Road Crematorium on Monday.

Condoling the demise of his father, the son of former External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh, Jagtar Singh, said, “He was ill for a very long time. His health has deteriorated over the past two months. He was in the hospital for the past month. Yesterday, he took his last breath. His last rites will be performed at Lodhi Road Crematorium tomorrow, August 12th.”
Meanwhile, RJD MP Manoj Jha paid tribute and said, “I have met him once or twice and have read his books. He was a complete person, he was not only a diplomat but had a deep understanding and looked at things deeply. The diplomatic trajectory of India will remain incomplete without the mention of Natwar Singh. I believe that the vacuum that is created after the demise of people like Natwar Singh cannot be compensated.”
Former External Affairs Minister and Congress leader K Natwar Singh passed away on Saturday night at the age of 93. He passed away at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram (Haryana) last night, following a prolonged illness. His last rites will be performed at Lodhi Road Crematorium tomorrow, August 12.
Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala confirmed Singh’s demise, saying, “The news of the demise of former Foreign Minister Natwar Singh ji is sad.”
“May God give strength to his family to bear this loss and grant peace to the departed soul,” Surjewala said in a post on X.
Singh had a distinguished career in diplomacy and politics, serving as the External Affairs Minister from 2004 to 2005 in the Cabinet of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh of the UPA government.
Singh was also awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1984. (ANI)
